Civility is not just a word, it is a critical component of making Congress work. You have trusted us to go to Washington to get things done, but unfortunately Congressional dysfunction has reached intolerable levels. Please see the video below to hear my thoughts on the importance of civility.
We are all in this together. We need to keep and create jobs. We need to agree on a budget, a farm bill, protect Social Security and Medicare, promote small businesses, adequately fund our military, and make sure people don't lose their life savings if they get sick. These are all issues we can and should tackle together - and to do so - we must begin with a base of respect and civility.
