Was the Anti-maahslime Film Actually Produced bymaahslimes and Blamed on Christians?

Anti-Muslim FilmIslamic radicals stormed the U.S. Consulate in Libya and killed 4 people including Ambassador Stevens supposedly because of an anti-Muslim video on YouTube. But something just isn’t right about this video.
There’s still so much about the film, the producer and the rest who were involved that we just don’t know. The producer and director goes by the name Sam Bacile, but that’s not his real name. He won’t divulge his true identity. He claimed to be an Israeli-born Jewish filmmaker and California real estate agent, but Christian activist and film-promoter Steve Klein stated that he was neither Jewish nor Israeli. Israeli officials have no record of him and neither do California real estate agencies.
He apparently had a $5 million budget. So, why didn’t he put that money toward production of the film? Sure, he had to pay actors and actresses (one of the actresses got $500) and a crew, but what about equipment and post-production? I ask because it doesn’t look like very much time, effort or money was spent on those things at all.
In fact, I dare you to get through all 14 minutes of the film’s “trailer.” It’s got to be the worst “anti-Muslim” film ever. It is so bad, and the voice overdubs are so poor, it’s as if whoever put this together was trying desperately to make Christians look bad, not Muslims. Yes, the film involves a lot of statements about Muhammad being a “gay” bastard and portrays him as a bloodthirsty killer, polygamist and an overall buffoon. But all the Islamic and Muhammad references were overdubbed in “post-production,” and they sound like they could have been done by some 8th grader on Garage Band.
The film’s “trailer” begins in presumably present-day Egypt. But then, a few minutes in, it “non-sequitors” into the ancient Middle East somewhere where an obvious green screen is used to supply a desert, a tent and a few camels in the background. The audio sounded like it was done in a bathroom, and the voice overdubs were even worse. Who in their right mind would give $5 million to someone who obviously had no idea what he was doing and who refused to use decent engineers? Bacile claimed that he raised the money from “100 Jewish donors.”
The end result is that it mocks Christians’ opinion of Islam to the point of absurdity. Now, since this film has all of a sudden gotten publicity even though it was posted to YouTube back in July, the media will point to it as an example of what Christians believe, and that these “extremist” and “anti-Muslim” sentiments are to blame for the violence and murder overseas.
Another mysterious figure is Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, who admitted to being the manager of the film’s production company. He too has aliases. Fox News reports:
Nakoula denied he directed the film and said he knew the self-described filmmaker, Sam Bacile. But the cell phone number that AP contacted Tuesday to reach the filmmaker who identified himself as Sam Bacile traced to the same address near Los Angeles where AP found Nakoula. Federal court papers said Nakoula’s aliases included Nicola Bacily, Erwin Salameh and others.
His aliases sound vaguely like “Sam Bacile” (“Salameh” – Sam; “Bacily” – Bacile). Do all these aliases refer to the same person? They might, but Nakoula denies posing as Bacile.
Nakoula also served 21 months in a federal prison and had to pay over $790,000 in restitution after pleading no contest in 2010 for federal bank fraud. Fox News continued:
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Leigh Williams said Nakoula set up fraudulent bank accounts using stolen identities and Social Security numbers, then checks from those accounts would be deposited into other bogus accounts from which Nakoula would withdraw money at ATM machines.
He claims to be a Coptic Christian.
When you look at the background of this bizarre film, you’ll find out that it was originally called “Desert Warriors,” and it was going to be about what life was like in Egypt 2,000 years ago. Actors were hired to portray Egyptians, and the main character was named “George.” The other characters referred to him as “Master George.” But their dialogue was edited later to make is sound like it was about Muhammad. The actors involved are now denouncing the film because they say they had no idea that it was going to turn into an “anti-Muslim” video. One of the actresses said that initially, when she received a copy of the script, it had nothing to do with religion at all. The film apparently played once or twice at some run down LA theater last year, and it was dubbed a “historical Arabian desert adventure film.” A “Sam Bassiel” was listed as the producer.
This Bacile figure is now in hiding because he fears for his life from Muslim radicals. We still don’t know who he is, who Nakoula is, and why such an over-the-top poor job was done in producing the film, and why it was used as an excuse for Muslim violence in Libya and elsewhere.
I’m definitely anti-Muslim, or more appropriately pro-Christian. I’m all for exposing Islam as the violent, hateful, and bloodthirsty religion that it is. There are plenty of videos, films and documentaries on the subject of Islam and Muhammad that are actually well done that don’t get any attention at all by the media or the violent Muslims overseas. Yet they all chose simultaneously to react to this ludicrous excuse for an “educational film” that attempted to “reveal truths about Muhammad that are possibly not widely known,” as Florida pastor Terry Jones said. I’m not buying it. There has to be more to this than what the media have told us.

YouTube has blocked a video attacking Islam's prophet Muhammad in Egypt and Libya, where angry protests were sparked by outrage at the video.

Ultraconservative Muslims enflamed by the video stormed the U.S. embassy in Cairo on Tuesday and replaced an American flag with an Islamic banner. Later Tuesday evening, protesters in Libya burned down the U.S. consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi, killing the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three members of his staff.

The 14-minute video is a trailer to an amateurish, low-budget movie titled "Innocence of Muslims," which depicts Muhammad as a feckless philanderer who approved of child sexual abuse. Muslims find it offensive to depict Muhammad in any manner, let alone insult the prophet.

YouTube has elected to leave the video on its website, saying it doesn't violate its policies, but has blocked access to it in Egypt and Libya. The Google-Inc. video site took the unusual step Wednesday of publicly commenting on the video, a practice it typically eschews.

"We work hard to create a community everyone can enjoy and which also enables people to express different opinions," YouTube said in a statement. "This can be a challenge because what's OK in one country can be offensive elsewhere. This video _ which is widely available on the web _ is clearly within our guidelines and so will stay on YouTube. However, given the very difficult situation in Libya and Egypt we have temporarily restricted access in both countries. Our hearts are with the families of the people murdered in yesterday's attack in Libya."

The video was uploaded on July 2 by a YouTube user going by the name Sam Bacile. After sitting dormant and largely unwatched for two months, it was dubbed into Arabic and excerpts gained airplay on TV networks in Egypt, enraging ultraconservative viewers.

President Barack Obama on Wednesday condemned the attack in Benghazi and ordered increased security to protect American diplomatic personnel around the world. He pledged to "bring justice to the killers who attacked our people."

"We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others," said Obama. "But there is absolutely no justification for this type of senseless violence, none."

READ THE BIZARRE CASTING CALL FOR THE NOW INFAMOUS ANTI-moohammed FILM and HOW THE ENTIRE CAST WAS ‘GROSSLY MISLED’

The producers of the controversial low-budget anti-Muhammad film “The Innocence of Muslims,” which some argue may have led to the killing of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans, actually sent out bizarre casting calls looking for actors to star in the flick, The Daily reports. The movie was apparently originally titled “Desert Warrior.”

The producers of the movie, which allegedly helped spark riots in Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and other countries after depicting the Muslim prophet Muhammad as a moronic adulterer who approves of sexually abusing children, reportedly published the casting calls for “Desert Warrior” on several websites, including the actor’s trade magazine “Backstage.”
According to the casting call obtained by The Daily, shooting for the film was scheduled to begin in “mid-Aug. in L.A.” last year. “Sam Bassiel” is named as the producer and “Alan Roberts” the director. The filmmakers described the film as a “historical Arabian Desert adventure film.“ Watch the nearly 14 minute trailer for ”The Innocence of Muslims” here.

Among the roles available were the parts of George, “a strong leader, romantic, tyrant, a killer with no remorse, Assad, a “bearded tribe leader” with an “Israeli accent,” and Hillary, a woman who is “18 but looks much younger, petite, innocent.” There is no mention of a role for a Prophet Muhammad on the casting call.
The production also indicated at the bottom of the ad that “yes” there would be nudity involved.
Initial reports identified the producer as “Sam Bacile,” a self-described Israeli living in California. We are assuming that Sam “Bassiel” is the same person as Sam Bacile, but TheBlaze can’t independently verify that at this time.
One of the film’s consultants told The Atlantic that Bacile wasn’t really Israeli, possibly not even Jewish, and that Bacile was not his real name. Whoever he is, he has gone into hiding following the violent reaction to his film. No information on “Alan Roberts” was immediately available.
Israel‘s Foreign Ministry said it has no idea who Bacile is and insisted Israel’s government had nothing to do with making the film.
“This guy is totally anonymous. At this point no one can confirm he holds Israeli citizenship and even if he did we are not involved,” ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said. “No Israeli institution, government department or office has any involvement in this. This guy acted on his own behalf.”
The search for those responsible for the film, including Bacile, led the Associated Press Wednesday to a California Coptic Christian convicted of financial crimes who acknowledged his role in managing and providing logistics for the production.
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, told The Associated Press in an interview outside Los Angeles that he was manager for the company that produced “Innocence of Muslims.” He provided the first details about a shadowy production group behind the film.
Nakoula denied he directed the film and said he knew the self-described filmmaker, Sam Bacile. But the cellphone number that AP contacted Tuesday to reach the filmmaker who identified himself as Sam Bacile traced to the same address near Los Angeles where AP found Nakoula. Federal court papers said Nakoula’s aliases included Nicola Bacily, Erwin Salameh and others.
Nakoula denied he had posed as Bacile. During a conversation outside his home, he offered his driver’s license to show his identity but kept his thumb over his middle name, Basseley. Records checks by the AP subsequently found it and other connections to the Bacile persona.
In a separate development, the 80 cast and crew members involved in the making of the film told CNN Wednesday that they were “grossly misled” about its intent and have since denounced the movie and its creators.
“The entire cast and crew are extremely upset and feel taken advantage of by the producer,“ they said in a statement to CNN about ”Innocence of Muslims” movie.
“We are 100% not behind this film and were grossly misled about its intent and purpose,” the statement continued. “We are shocked by the drastic rewrites of the script and lies that were told to all involved. We are deeply saddened by the tragedies that have occurred.”
One of the actresses, who spoke to CNN on the condition of anonymity, said the original script made no references to a Prophet Muhammed character. She also said some of the actors’ lines had been changed, prompting complaints for her and other actors.
The actress said she spoke with the movie’s producer Sam Bacile on Wednesday and he told her he wrote the script because he “wants Muslims to quit killing.”
“I had no idea he was doing all this,” she said.
Consultant Steve Klein, who worked with Bacile on the film,  told CNN the producer is “very depressed” and “upset” about what what happened in Libya.
“I talked to him this morning, and he said that he was very concerned for what happened to the ambassador,” Klein said.
