An Israeli invented what will hopefully become a common sight in bars and clubs everywhere, an Anti-Date Rape Straw

Something else for the Israel-haters to boycott

You’ve no doubt heard about the International BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement that Muslims and their left wing Jew-hating comrades around the world are promoting as a way to kill the Israeli economy. I guess they don’t care what happens to the 40,000 Palestinians who work for Israeli businesses.

A recent report by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) ranked Israel as the 4th most prolific nation in the world in its inventions and patents-per-resident ratio. Most of them come from the science, medical, and technology fields. Here is a list of their leading inventions, some of which you are probably using right now: TOP 45 ISRAELI INVENTIONS

Here’s a new one that BDS women will surely want to boycott:

From Shalom Life via Elder of Ziyon (H/T Susan K)

One in six women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime. That’s a staggering number, and one of the most common places where women will be victimized is in nightclubs.

Now that date rape drugs have become easy accessible, women must be on high alert whenever drinking in public, otherwise someone could easily slip an odorless and tasteless drug that can render a person unconscious and put them in a position to be taken advantage of.

An israel professor of Tel Aviv University, Fernando Patolsky, and his partner Michael Ioffe, have invented what will hopefully become a common sight in bars and clubs everywhere, an Anti-Date Rape Straw.

The straw can currently detect the two most common drugs being used, ketamine and gamma-hydroxybutyric acid, of GHB. Patolsky and Ioffe are working on adding more drug detection abilities, including rohypnol, aka ruffies.

The idea is that women will carry the straw with them when they go out, and they can reuse the straw as many times as they like until the straw encounters the presence of any date rape drugs. If the straw detects any drug in the drink, a chemical reaction will be created and the straw will change colour, depending on the drug.

Would anyone care if lgbt folks did this?

Chick-fil-A day: Don’t boycott. Infiltrate.

Today is Chick-fil-A Day. No, it’s not a public holiday but for many Americans it is a religious holiday. Mike Huckabee, former Arkansas governor and former Republican presidential candidate had declared Wednesday, Aug. 1, as “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” in support of the company “whose executives are willing to take a stand for Godly values.” He wants people to celebrate those values “by simply showing up and eating” at the fast food restaurant.
Exactly what are those values, which have not only been espoused by Huckabee, but Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum and Tim Pawlenty (maybe not such a smart move as he’s being vetted for veep by Mitt Romney)?
According to the president of the company, Dan Cathy, Chick-fil-A is “very much supportive of the family…the biblical definition of the family unit.” What that means is that Cathy, whose father started the company in Atlanta, is against gay marriage.
Bishop Gene Robinson, the first gay Bishop in the Episcopal Church, has a new book,”God Believes in Love: Straight Talk About Gay Marriage.”
“What would Jesus think about two men and two women getting married?” he asks in his book. “According to the accounts of the life of Jesus as recorded by the Gospels, Jesus never said anything about sexually intimate relationship between people of the same gender. Nor did he comment on sexual behavior between people of the same gender. Period.”
Cathy is a devout Christian and has emphasized that “we are a family owned business, a family led business and we are married to our first wives.” His employees are trained “to focus on values rooted in the Bible.” Some franchises pipe in religious music and they are all closed on Sundays. If today goes well, who knows, they may consider closing every Aug hereafter to commemorate.
When Cathy first made his anti-gay marriage remarks a few weeks ago, it became a major media event and a PR nightmare for the company (tragically the head of PR died of a heart attack last week) which, according to one outfit, YouGov Brandindex polling, dropped its public brand approval from 65 percent to 39 percent in the days following the Cathy remarks.
While Christians will be showing up at the restaurants in droves today, there is a movement afoot by “The Gay and Lesbian Alliance against Defamation” to stage kiss-ins in front of many outlets. Mayors of Washington, San Francisco, Boston and Chicago have expressed their outrage at the company policy.
What to do if you feel the same way?. The idea of a boycott is so clichéd. Even the kiss-in doesn’t really make the point.
Gays and lesbians could start applying for jobs at Chick-fil-A. Get in there. Become managers, take over the places.  Gays could begin patronizing Chick-fil-As and I don’t mean carry out. Make the restaurants the gay hangouts of the community.   Gay partners and Married gays could begin taking their children there. They could start having birthday parties for their kids. They could have Gay pride events there. (They have an events manager – just call)  They could even have gay weddings there.
As Cathy points out, he would surely welcome more business. The more business they have the more money they can continue to contribute to anti Gay marriage causes. As Cathy says himself, “We have a lot of gay and lesbian customers. We have nothing against them. To us, it’s a moral issue, not a civil issue.”
He also says that “We don’t claim to be a Christian business. But as an organization we can operate on biblical principles.
The question is, what are biblical principles?
Bishop Robinson points out that Jesus was “consistently on the side of those who were outcast by society and bore the unfair burden of disdain, discrimination, and prejudice.”
Finally he asks, “can anyone imagine that Jesus would denounce and decry two men or two women who have fallen in love, have promised to live in a faithful, monogamous lifelong intentioned relationship and now seek the civil status and the church’s sacrament of marriage. I cannot.”
Dan Cathy can. Having been criticized for being against gay marriage, Cathy continues to stand by his remarks:
“Well, Guilty as charged.”

I LOVE Chick Fil A - do you? And I like their politics too

JUly 20, 2012 by

New Chick-fil-A Campaign Slogan: ‘Eat More Liberals’

chick-fil-aChick-fil-A has captured the chicken sandwich market with its clever ads showing cows holding and making signs that say “Eat Mor Chikin.” Clever ads, however, are not enough. You’ve got to have a good chicken sandwich, and Chick-fil-A has one of the best and service to match.
The homosexual community has taken a disliking to the outspoken Christian company because Chick-fil-A supports traditional marriage and offers counseling seminars to married heterosexual couples and does not support either homosexuality or homosexual marriage.
Chick-fil-A has donated around $2 million to organizations like the Marriage & Family Legacy Fund, Focus on the Family, Exodus International, and the Family Research Council. All of them oppose the homosexual agenda. Homosexual groups have been consistent Chick-fil-A “haters” (to use their favorite attack word) as this Christian Post article explains:
Dan Cathy, the president of the fast-food giant Chick-fil-A and the son of its founder, Truett Cathy, confirmed the company’s commitment to traditional family values in an interview with Baptist Press. While the Atlanta-based chain’s position is nothing new, homosexual activists are up in arms and calling for yet another all-out boycott of the chain’s 1,608 restaurants.
Truett Cathy started the company in 1946. It remains a family-owned business that employs nearly 50,000 workers in more than 1615 locations in 39 states and Washington, D.C. One of the unique business features of Chick-fil-A is that their stores are closed on Sundays so its employees can rest and attend worship services if they wish to.
In addition to its business enterprises, Chick-fil-A operates 11 foster care homes in Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. The WinShape College Program at Berry College in Rome, Georgia, is a co-op course of study that offers joint four-year scholarship funding to incoming freshmen of up to $32,000. WinShape Camps offers boys and girls summer programs at the college, which will be attended by more than 15,000 campers in 2012.
None of this matters to the Gaystapo. Their goal is to shut down all opposition to their agenda like they’ve done to people who supported the California anti-homosexual marriage bill Proposition 8.
Homosexual activists worked hard to kick the restaurant off college campuses across the country. The fact that Chick-fil-A has not given in to pressure sticks in the craw of the homosexual bullies.
If the good folks at Chick-fil-A are willing to give up income on one of the busiest restaurant days of the week (Sunday) — about $500 million — you can bet they’re not afraid of any bad publicity coming from the homosexual cabal. Their strong stand motivates me to eat more chicken at Chick-fil-A.
Other Christian companies and politicians could learn some lessons from Chick-fil-A. Homosexual intimidators think like Islamic radicals. When their opponents apologize and back down, they get even more bold and violent. Standing your ground befuddles a bully. Heather Cronk, managing editor of Get Equal, a national LGBT group, said that they have “moved on” from public attacks against Chick-fil-A. Standing your ground against bullies works.
You might want to consider shopping elsewhere if you purchase your office supplies at Office Depot. The company introduced its “Be Brave” campaign that highlights homosexual celebrity Lady Gaga. In this topsy-turvy world, supporting biblical morality is “hate” but encouraging same-sex behavior is a sign of bravery.
I would love to see Chick-fil-A post signs that read “Eat Mor Liberals.” The company is too nice to get involved in a war of words. Even so, it would make a good ad campaign and would drive the liberals batty. And I bet that Chick-fil-A would sell even more chicken sandwiches.
I’m off to get one as soon as I post this article.
