Study: GOP Women are More "Feminine"

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: There's a fascinating new study out that says Democrat women are more likely to look like men.  Now, I have suspected this for many moons.  In fact, I've gotten close to the edge -- the bounds of proprietary -- in commenting on such things over the years on this program, but it's a story from BuzzFeed.  "Can You Tell a Woman's Politics By Looking At Her Face?" and I have long held that you can.
"[P]sychologists Colleen Carpinella and Kerri Johnson gave undergraduates at UCLA for a study published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology. The undergrads were significantly better at guessing than would be expected by chance, and they were especially accurate with women. The likely reason, according to the study," why the UCLA students were able to identify Democrat versus Republican women by looking at 'em is...
"Republican women are more likely than Democratic ones to have stereotypically feminine facial features."  Republican women look more feminine than Democrat women.  That's from a UCLA study.  This is not El Rushbo saying it.  It's from a UCLA study where the two scientists conducted the study and had students take the tests.  "In another experiment, Carpinella and Johnson used a computer program to measure how 'sex-typical' the faces of male and female Representatives were, looking at characteristics like jaw shape, lip fullness, and cheekbone placement (they discounted things like hair, makeup, and jewelry).
"They found that Republican women were more likely to have stereotypically feminine faces -- and the effect was more pronounced the more conservative their voting records were. The reverse was true for Democrats -- the more liberal their voting records, the less traditionally feminine their faces. The study authors call this 'the Michele Bachmann effect.'" I kid you not.  That's what they call it: The Michele Bachmann Effect.
Now, would you like to run a test on this? By the way, it's the story that says that, not me. The story that says Democrat women more are likely to look like men. (interruption) No, they didn't close the loop and ask what do men find more attractive. Is that open for question? (interruption)  In today's society you have a point.  Yeah, it is an open question.  But could we, say, draw some names out of a hat and apply the test of this study and see if it makes any sense?  (interruption)
Well, you want to try it?  Let's see.  Okay.  Let's see.  Conservative women. Who do we know? (interruption) Okay, Michele Bachmann or Barbara Mikulski?  Point proven?  Okay.  Uh, let's see, Sarah Palin or Big Sis, Janet Napolitano? Hmmm. Okay, give me another conservative woman. (interruption)  Well, there are not enough people who are gonna know what Mary Bono looks like.  Not enough people know her. Let's see.  (interruption) Mia Love.  Okay. Mia Love, if you've seen her, or Rosa DeLauro?  Let's see.  Who else can we do? Conservative women.
Think of some media types, Snerdley.
Okay.  Let's see. Ummm. (interruption) Okay, who can we compare her to?  Ann Coulter or Hillary Clinton? (chuckling) You want to keep going here?  We're trying to establish here the scientific points made by these two psychologists at UCLA.

Caller Nails It: If The caliph خليفة Benedict Arnold is So Concerned with Feelings in the maahslime World, Why is He Bragging So Much About Killing Osama?

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: It's Claire in Logan, New Mexico.  I'm glad you waited.  I really am.  Great to have you on the program.  Hi.
CALLER:  Well, it's so great to be on the program.  This is the first time I have ever called into a show anywhere, any time, but I was so determined to join your conversation today --
RUSH:  Thank you.
CALLER:  -- because what occurred to me was, if the Obama administration is so concerned about not hurting the feelings of these terrorists, then why are they constantly spiking the ball about killing bin Laden?
RUSH:  Hmm.  You know, that is a great question out there, Claire.  If we're so concerned about hurting the feelings of Muslims, why is Obama bragging that he killed Osama so often.  That's a fascinating question.  Yeah, in fact, their campaign slogan is "GM's Alive and Osama's Dead," or something like that.  They're ramming it down the throats of Islamists all over the world.  In fact, in Egypt at the embassy yesterday, the protesters were all shouting, "We're all Osamas, Obama.  We're all Osamas, Obama." There are millions of Osamas, Obama.  So we might even conclude, ladies and gentlemen, that if we're gonna accept this notion that hurt feelings inspire terrorism, then maybe Obama is responsible for this, and ultimately maybe the blame falls to him.  You think they watched the Democrat convention?  You think they saw Plugs Biden up there going on and on about how Osama's dead?  This could be the Obama bounce. The media was looking for the Obama bounce, and we found it, the attack on our embassy in Cairo.  The real Obama bounce.  Claire, you know what?  There's something to this.  First time you've ever called.  You said you were determined to get through here.
CALLER:  Yeah.  I'm very nervous.
RUSH:  And you have.  And you made a brilliant, brilliant point.  I wanted to make sure you hung on so I could thank you.
CALLER:  Well, I'm just honored to be talking to you.  I'm very nervous.
RUSH:  Yeah, yeah.  But I appreciate it, I really do.  I want to send you an EIB engraved iPad.  Would you let me do that?
CALLER:  Ummm... sure!
RUSH:  (laughing)  Okay.  So here's what you need to do.  You just need to hold on, and Mr. Snerdley, the nice young man who answered your call --
CALLER:  Okay.
RUSH:  -- he will be talking to you soon. He'll get the address from you that you want us to send it to you.
CALLER:  Okay.
RUSH:  Give us a FedEx address.  We don't use the mail here for odd reasons.  We only do FedEx.
CALLER:  Right.
RUSH:  Okay?  So it has to be an address that FedEx can deliver to.
CALLER:  Okay.
RUSH:  Okay, Claire.  That's Claire in Logan, New Mexico.  Oh, that is so right.  I did not put that together myself.  I'm so glad that she got through here.  We're all Osamas, Obama.  There are millions of us, Obama. There are millions of Osamas, Obama.  We're all Osamas. And our embassy puts outs this whole thing about hurting people's feelings, and that's right.  Obama's spiking the football and ramming it down their throats every day about having killed their messiah, Osama Bin Laden.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH:  I think this woman Claire is more right than any of us even thought the moment she said it.  On 9/11, in Egypt, these clowns show up, "We're all Osamas, Obama. We're all Osamas, Obama."  What does that mean?  It means these people are ticked off.  Obama's been running around spiking the football saying Osama's dead. That was one of the two primary reasons to reelect the guy at his own convention.  Our embassy issues a statement apologizing for free speech rights of some preacher in this country and a movie maker, and it turns out that it's Barack Obama that has 'em all ticked off because he's the one bragging about killing their messiah, their leader.  It is a heck of a good point.  Obama could be to blame for this.

RUSH: Back to the phones we go to El Cajon, California. This is Scott. Thanks for the call, sir. Great to have you here on the EIB Network. Hello.
CALLER: Hello, Rush. First-time caller. Love your show.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: I was interested to see the first news media reports. You know, they talk about the Romney response, and then they try to deflect everything from Obama by saying this filmmaker was an Israeli Jew. I was wondering your take on that.
RUSH: Uhhh, well, he is an Israeli Jew. What is your point? You think...?
CALLER: It just seems... I heard that right away, and he's based out of Southern California.
RUSH: Right.
CALLER: But why even bring that up? It's almost like they're trying to put off some of this stuff on Israel.
RUSH: Oh, well, there's no question that they're trying to do that. You mean the administration or the media? Or both?
CALLER: The media but probably with the administration's support.
RUSH: Well, I think they are gonna do everything they can to further the notion that it is this wacko doing the movie that is responsible for the Islamists and their attack on our embassy in Cairo. The last thing they're gonna do is blame the Islamists. So you think by mentioning his a Jew from Israel...? The problem with that is, I've read the story and they quote the guy saying that. He describes himself that way: "I am a Jew from Israel." So it's not really the media pointing it out for nothing. He does say it in the story.
CALLER: Right.
RUSH: And when you read the story, it's clear the guy says that. He's gone into hiding. The filmmaker has gone into hiding but he's still talking to the media. He comes across as "fearless," but then I read he's gone into hiding, which kind of contradicts it. But he himself says it. He's a California real-estate developer and his name is Sam Bacile. It's B-a-c-i-l-e, so I'm guessing on the pronunciation.
But he describes himself in the story as an Israeli Jew, and he says he's the one who made the film. So it'd be kind of hard for the media to leave that out. If he hadn't mentioned it and they dug it up and they focused on it, then you could say that they might be trying to stir things up. My point is, they don't have to. He's done it for them. All they have to do is quote him, which is what they did.

RUSH: Here's David in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, home of the Little League World Series where losing pitchers congratulate guys that hit home runs off of 'em.  Great to have you on the program, sir, hello.
CALLER:  Hey, thanks for taking the time, Rush. You know, some of your callers have touched on the convention last week, and, you know, the timing behind this, obviously 9/11 was yesterday, but it was not insignificant that the word "Jerusalem" was left out of the Democrat platform.  It's been such a big deal that was made in the media to correct that, and we saw the outrage from what seemed to be a majority of the Democrat delegates.  And as you said, this was probably being watched all over the world.  This administration has gone through great pains to publicly not use the word "Jerusalem."  You have Jay Carney just fairly recently being pressed on that in a press conference.  You have James Brennan or John Brennan, whichever it is, I don't remember, and Eric Holder publicly calling Jerusalem Al-Quds, which is what Islamists refer to Jerusalem as.  They refuse to say the name Jerusalem.  I don't think this was an insignificant event, and it could have been a tipping point.  There was a lot of things in that convention, but this was something I believe a lot of attention was paid to the word "God" being left out, but just as significant, if not more, was the word "Jerusalem" being left out.
RUSH:  I think you're on something.  In fact, we talked about this a little bit yesterday, and in addition to God being booed, so was Jerusalem.  And when you saw the pictures of who it was that was booing. For example, the reason that I know about this fundraiser in Vegas being moved indoors is because I have people who are on the mailing list of the DNC and the Obama campaign, so we keep an eye on what they're sending out.  Debbie "Blabbermouth" Schultz sent out this blast e-mail yesterday to one of our staff members named Biff, and there is no Biff, but that's just the name that we used.  And it was in three languages.  It was in English, Spanish, and Arabic.  Farsi, whatever, Arabic.  And it was all about how they're gonna move the convention from outdoors to indoors because of inclement weather, but there isn't any.
They can't fill an outdoor stadium in Vegas is the point so they're using the same excuse they used in Charlotte.  But you're right.  Jerusalem was booed, and it was the Michigan delegation that we saw booing Jerusalem. There's a very large Islamic population in Dearborn.  It's called Dearbornistan by people that live there, as an affectionate nickname for the place.  But I think not just God, but Jerusalem got booed as well, and I think you're on to something.  I think the Democrat Party has elements that hate Israel.  Some of them are even Jewish, but they hate Israel, which leads me to another theory, ladies and gentlemen.  Just a wild theory, picking it off the wall.  All it is, is a theory.
What do the militant Islamists want more than anything in the world?  Israel gone is right.  Even moderate Islamists want Israel gone, from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Al-Qaeda, to the Muslim Brotherhood.  You can find quotes.  Palestinian leaders, Hamas, fatah, you name it, all of these factions of militant Islam, number one objective, no more Israel.  And if they could bring it off, no more Jews.
Okay. So what if...? What if Ayman al-Zawahiri and other Al-Qaeda leaders gave up Osama Bin Laden for the express purpose of making Obama look good, giving Obama stature and political capital? "Obama got Osama!" I mean, really. Do you think Al-Qaeda depends on Osama Bin Laden anymore, or did? What was he doing there? They call it a mansion, but it was a pigsty. He was drinking Budweiser and watching porn.
He had a courier going back and forth, but Al-Qaeda was not depending on Osama Bin Laden for operational leadership. His day had come and gone. So he's expendable. He was near death anyway from diabetes or something. He needed dialysis. So they give him up; they give up his location. We go in and SEAL Team 6 gets him. Obama puffs up. "I killed Osama! I did it! I killed him!"
He gets instant credibility and gives himself some political capital.
Keeping him in power, that furthers the cause. Who gave us the Arab Spring? Who...? (sigh) Who structured things so that the Muslim Brotherhood pretty much had a clear path to power in Egypt? If... And I'm saying "IF," capital I, capital F. If the militant Islamists think... Let's put this way. Do you think that militant Islamists will be as hopeful of getting rid of Israel with a Republican president or with a Democrat president? I'm just throwing it out there. This is thinking off the top of my head, after being bombarded today with stuff, and that call that we had from Claire.
This one got me going, because she's so right.
Everybody's trying to blame this movie or Terry Jones, the preacher, for what happened in Egypt yesterday. But the guys that scaled the wall, cut down our flag, burned it, and tried to raise the Al-Qaeda flag are the ones shouting about all the Osamas there are, and they're mentioning Obama's name. They're taunting Obama: "You didn't get rid of us! There are thousands of us." Obama's saying, "Don't spike the football! Don't spike the football!" But maybe the real source of the outrage here is Obama and the Democrats bragging 21 times during their convention, "We killed Osama!"

RUSH: The caliph خليفة POLICY 'FULL-FLEDGED DISASTER'

PALM BEACH, Fla. – Radio giant Rush Limbaugh calls the violence against American embassies and consulates in the Mideast an “absolute disaster” on the part of President Obama’s foreign policy, and says the White House is coordinating with the news media to make Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney look bad.
“We’re in the midst of a disaster,” Limbaugh said this afternoon. “This is a full-fledged foreign policy disaster.”
“What they’re trying to do is make all of this about Romney. We’re in the midst of a genuine second term of Jimmy Carter, anybody? 1979, anybody? We’re in the middle of an absolute disaster, a foreign policy disaster. And there’s a coordinated effort to make it about Romney and whether or not he should speak; whether he should say anything about it; whether or not it’s presidential for Romney. We’re only supposed to have one president at times like this. Well, we don’t have one, unless Romney speaks up, and that’s the sad reality.”
Before its walls were breached, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo had issued the following statement on Sept. 11:
“The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”
Obama issued a statement on the attack in Benghazi, Libya, this morning saying: “I strongly condemn the outrageous attack on our diplomatic facility in Benghazi, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Right now, the American people have the families of those we lost in our thoughts and prayers. They exemplified America’s commitment to freedom, justice, and partnership with nations and people around the globe, and stand in stark contrast to those who callously took their lives.”
Last night, when only the death of one American was known, Romney said, “I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi.”
“It’s disgraceful that the Obama Administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”
Romney stood behind the remarks Wednesday even though the initial statement from the Cairo embassy was issued before security was breached.
Limbaugh ripped into Obama’s silence on the matter until mid-morning Wednesday, and the media’s spin on Romney’s remarks, saying, “Obama doesn’t say anything about it until about 11 o’clock Eastern time this morning. And the media is totally obsessed with what Romney’s doing, and how Romney is wrong and Romney jumped the gun. They say, ‘There’s only one president, and Romney isn’t it.’
He continued: “Folks, I remember the campaign of 1980. I remember Ronald Reagan hitting Jimmy Carter, who was the sitting president, every day for his incompetence involving the Iranian hostage crisis! Politics stopping at the water’s edge, my foot! All that’s happening here is that the people on the left understand that we’re dealing … Isn’t it funny that nobody cares about foreign policy? Remember, that wasn’t a big deal in this campaign? And even if it is a big deal, Obama’s the clear, clear superior leader. It would just make more people vote for Obama.
“He’s just a whiz at foreign policy. He’s made the world love us!” Obama gave us this! Obama gave us the Arab Spring, which has turned into what happened yesterday. Obama praised it, sanctioned it. He even tried to claim that they came about because of him. The Arab Spring and the Brotherhood were using the same tactics he used in his ’08 campaign. He, at one time, was trying to make it sound like there was solidarity between him and these ‘democratic freedom fighters,’ the Muslim Brotherhood.
“We’re dealing with Islamist supremacists, and they are the mainstream. They are not the fringe, these people that killed the ambassador yesterday. And, by the way, they were let in. You may not know this. You can’t get into an American embassy. There are Marines. There are local police. You can’t get over the wall, rip down the flag, and set it afire unless somebody lets you in. That’s a question I have: Who let them in?”

RUSH LIMBAUGH ON el presidente: 'BULLSHit!'

PALM BEACH, Fla. – Radio host Rush Limbaugh has one particular word when it comes to Tuesday night’saddress by first lady Michelle Obama: “Bullsh–!”
Limbaugh was watching Mrs. Obama’s speech with his own wife, Kathryn, when he heard Michelle say, “I love that for Barack, there is no such thing as ‘us’ and ‘them’ – he doesn’t care whether you’re a Democrat, a Republican, or none of the above … he knows that we all love our country … and he’s always ready to listen to good ideas … he’s always looking for the very best in everyone he meets.”
Limbaugh explained this afternoon both he and his wife shared an instant vocal reaction as they listened.
“This actually happened,” he noted . “When [Michelle] was talking about how Obama doesn’t care if you’re a Republican or whatever, Kathryn and I both (at the exact moment) shouted, ‘Bullsh–!’ at the TV. We didn’t even look at each other. ‘Bullsh–!’ Tell that to Paul Ryan. Obama doesn’t care if you’re a Republican or a Democrat? For crying out loud, he’s the most partisan president we’ve ever had in office – and that’s saying something.”
Limbaugh actually had some words of praise for Obama’s address, calling it a “masterfully given speech.”
“Look, as a performer and judging it as a performance, it was exceptional. It was, as a performance, Michelle Obama’s speech was perfection,” he said. “Looked at through the prism of what she intended it to accomplish. It was flawlessly executed. It could not have been better in terms of performance. But it was all lies. She didn’t believe any of it. She didn’t believe anything that she said in that speech. It left me cold. It was a real contradiction.”
Limbaugh found it strange that after four years in the public limelight, Mrs. Obama decided to provide heretofore undisclosed details about who her husband is, as she explained: “When Barack was a senator and presidential candidate, to me he was still the guy who picked me up for our dates in a car that was so rusted out, I could actually see the pavement going by in a hole in the passenger-side door. He was the guy whose proudest possession was a coffee table he found in a dumpster, and whose only pair of decent shoes was a half-size too small.”
“Oh, gee, poor guy,” said Limbaugh. “And his brother in the hut is still living that way. I wonder if Michelle’s ever seen his college transcripts. Do you think she has? Do you think she knows about his college transcripts or anything that he wrote, Law Review, Harvard. Her parents actually let her get in a car that had rusted out holes in the passenger-side door? Do we really believe that Obama’s proudest possession was a coffee table extricated from a dumpster dive? Sorry, folks, I just wasn’t buying.”
Limbaugh said Barack Obama did not grow up in poverty.
“Obama was working for a law firm when he started dating Michelle!” he exclaimed. “He wasn’t wearing shoes a half-size too small when he was dating Michelle Obama.”
“Obama was raised by a banker,” Limbaugh continued. “Obama went to the top private school in Hawaii. It had swimming pools and tennis courts. It had photo studios! They both attended elite schools. Michelle went to Whitney Young. Whitney Young was a public magnet school for Chicago’s upper class. That’s where Michelle went to school. Barack went to Punahou, which is the private prep school for the top strata of Hawaii society.
“Then they were both accepted to Ivy League schools despite having, uh, less-than-stellar credentials. You might say that they were affirmative-action admissions. But they didn’t come from poverty. So why is he wearing shoes a half-size too small? Does he not like to cut his toenails? What is the explanation?”
“They’ve revised the story,” he concluded. “It’s a new campaign. It’s time for a new story.”
