Save A Rat – Kill A Soldier - GO PETA!!!!!!!

rat bomb detectorOn Monday of last week, the U.S. Army Research Lab announced that they will be working with Barron Associates to develop a training program to use rats to detect mines and IED (improvised explosive devices).  The project has been named R.A.T.S. which stands for Rugged Automated Training System.
In an attempt to help protect soldiers in the field, they are hoping to be able to develop an inexpensive way to train the rats to sniff out hidden explosive devices.  If successful, they hope to save the lives of more of our servicemen (and women) in places like Iraq and Afghanistan.
Chief of the Life Sciences Division of the Army Research Office, Micheline Strand explained:
“If we can demonstrate that rats can be trained inexpensively to be reliable detectors, then this method would not only lower costs for the Army but would also create new opportunities for using animals to detect anything from mines to humans buried in earthquake rubble.”
“Training dogs is very expensive.  If we can significantly reduce the cost of a trained animal, then we could provide more animals to protect soldiers.”
Rats have an exceptional sense of smell and since they are smaller, they would be able to get into places that dogs can’t.  They are also easier to transport and require less food than dogs.
Animal rights groups have not started their protests yet, but once the word gets out that the Army is training rats to sniff out explosives and place their lives on the line, I’m sure PETA and others will come screaming animal cruelty.  These animal rights activists have frequently protested and interfered with numerous uses of animals for testing, especially when it involves explosives.  Some of them had a real problem with the use of dolphins in the Strait of Hormuz to locate mines before U.S. ships struck them.
So be prepared to hear them scream, holler and protest over how cruel it would be to train rats to locate explosives and possibly blow themselves up.  But my response to them, when they do, would be to challenge them to visit one of the military hospitals that have dozens of servicemen and women who have lost limbs from IEDs.  Then I would challenge them to visit the family, the wife and kids, of a soldier killed by an IED and tell them you oppose using rats to locate the devices.
Perhaps then they might realize that the life of a soldier is far more valuable than the life a rat.  I hope and pray that R.A.T.S. is highly successful and saves the lives of our men and women in harm’s way.

Fort Hood Workplace violence (murders), why is no one found accountable?

“FINAL REPORT OF THE WILLIAM H. WEBSTER COMMISSION" DHIMMIS DOWN ON FORT HOOD JIHAD
In other words, the independent panel in the Fort Hood jihad massacre said it's OK to slaughter US soldiers in the cause of Islam just as long as ....... you don't offend Islam.
Major Hassan was a self-proclained soldier of allah. He came out as a jihadi on grand rounds. The other doctors who worked with him would whisper among themselves that he was a ticking time bomb, but were reluctant to report him lest they be labeled racistislamophobicantimuslimbigots.
And this dhimmi panel agreed. Regardless of the facts:
Below, Major Hasan's Islamic power point presentation, made on grand rounds.

The devout and pious Muslim, Major Hasan, mowed down 13 US soldiers at the Fort Hood military base in November 2009, while screaming allahu akbar. Hasan's business card read SoA, Soldier of Allah. Muslim Nidal Hasan gave out his card and qurans the morning of his jihad. More here and here.

"Report downplays Islamic role in Fort Hood jihadi attack" Neil Munro, Daily Caller, July 21,2012
No government officials should be penalized for their inaction while they watched an online al-Qaida organizer persuade U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan to murder twelve of his fellow soldiers at Foot Hood in 2009, says the final report of an independent panel.
“Although we are critical of certain actions and omissions, we do not regard any of those actions to be misconduct that would warrant administrative or disciplinary action,” said the third-last paragraph on the 150-page report, titled “Final Report of the William H. Webster Commission.”
“Some missteps occurred because there was no stated policy or binding directive in place that would have required different actions … [but] absent formal policy guidance on the assignment and resolution of Routine leads, the delay cannot be said to involve misconduct,” said the paragraph.
The report was overseen by William Webster, who headed the FBI from 1978 to 1987.
The report was distributed July 20 with the announcement that Republican Rep. Frank Wolfe will hold a August 1 committee hearing on the report. The witness will include an FBI official, Mark Giuliano, who is the executive assistant director of the FBI’s National Security Branch.
The report says Hasan yelled the Islamic war-cry — “Allahu akbar!” which means “Allah is supreme” — as he shot his fellow Americans in Fort Hood.
On his business card, Hasan described himself as a “soldier of Allah,” who is the Muslim god.
UPDATE: Buck  located the redacted PDF from the FBI site
The evasion of the word "Islam" is staggering.  We actually paid Webster and his commission to write this coverup.  We are so screwed.  Looking at the section on Awlaki, it is interesting to note that the assigned agent to review Hasan's emails to Awlaki were often marked as 'Not of product of interest' or 'irrelevant'.  This reflects a complete ignorance of Islam and inability to put the pieces together.  What's more, the commission doesn't criticize these repeated errors.  The report is so careful to talk about 'radicalization' that you would never know except for the names of the terrorists listed that this is a Muslim centric radicalization.
