Former President Bill Clinton’s Democratic convention speech includes this line: “The most important question is, what kind of country do you want to live in?” Good question

It’s hard for me to believe that the majority of Americans want to live in a country where there is no God except the State, homosexual marriage is just like heterosexual marriage, abortion is a form of birth control, and Islam is on an equal footing with America’s Christian heritage.

The majority of Americans believe in God, and yet the Democrats removed any mention of Him from their platform. It’s not that it was an oversight; it was a conscious effort since “God-given potential” was in the 2008 platform. When an attempt was made by Ted Strickland (D-OH) to reintroduce God, all hell broke loose. He was booed:

Democrats have changed their convention platform to add a mention of God and declare that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. The move came after criticism from Republicans. Many in the audience booed after the convention chairman, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, ruled that the amendments had been approved despite the fact that a large group of delegates objected.

 Notice that the criticism didn’t come from the Democrats.

The Democrat leadership ramrodded the new language over vociferous opposition. Keep in mind that a number of speakers mentioned God. This only goes to show that the Democrat convention is more theater than reality. The convention is designed to play to the ignorance of the voting population. They say one thing in public to get votes but do something else legislatively. Their voting public doesn’t care as long as the checks, condoms, and birth control pills keep coming.

Since every state that has voted on homosexual marriage defeated the measure — 31 states as of this writing – it’s a wonder that the Democrats see homosexual marriage as a winning issue. More than 8 percent of the delegates at the convention are homosexuals (more than 500 out and proud sexually incongruous delegates) — eight times the homosexual population in America.

And while God was put out of the Democrat party platform, homosexual marriage was put in. The Democrats became the first major U.S. political party to endorse gay marriage, and this happened in a state where voters approved a state constitutional referendum limiting marriage to heterosexuals.

The Democrats have always been the Abortion Party. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Democrats change their party identification to “Abortionists” in the future. It’s all they can talk about. Of course, if the Democrats keep supporting pre-born child killing, there won’t be an opposition party in the future.

What’s really evil about Democrat support for abortion is how it’s affecting the black community. While 95 percent of blacks vote for Democrats, a higher percentage of blacks get abortions. It’s been described as “black genocide.” What fools they are.

What’s not getting a lot of attention is the number of Muslim delegates at the Democrat National Convention. There are more than 100, “up from 43 Muslim and Arab-American delegates at the 2008 Democratic convention, and 25 at the 2004 convention.”

“‘The more than doubling of Muslim delegates at this year’s Democratic National Convention is a direct result of their hard work and grassroots organizing within the Democratic Party,’ said CAIR Government Affairs Coordinator Robert McCaw. ‘It is also a sign of the American Muslim community’s growing civic engagement and acceptance in the Democratic Party.’”

I’m not sure what kind of Muslims these are considering the Democrat Party platform’s non-support of God and the support of homosexual marriage and abortion on demand. The only think I can think of is that the Muslims are biding their time. One day they will be running the Democrat Party.

Minorities are Window Dressing for the Democrats

Los Angeles Democrat Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa accused Republicans of using Hispanic speakers during their convention as “window dressing.”

Liberals are all about window dressing. Once you get inside the store, the shelves are bare or stocked with worn out political clichés and empty promises. This is especially true when it comes to minorities. Liberals have taken away the “Colored” signs from water fountains and bathrooms, but they still won’t let them into their living room unless they can control their movements. The only ones that get to sit down are those who do the bidding of the host.

Liberals work hard to get minorities to the polls to vote so the liberal establishment can stay in power, but Liberals are reluctant to give minorities enough power to govern themselves. If the word gets out that a minority can be independent of government, then it might get back to other “brown skin” people that they can do it too. When this happens, the Democrat Party is finished.

There are a number of articles floating around on the Internet about how few black and brown faces there were among the Republican delegates. Michelle Malkin, something of a brown face herself, tweeted the following:

SHAME SHAME SHAME on all you racist progs playing the #negrospotting game. Dear God, you people are sick.

Of course there aren’t that many black Republican delegates; they’re mostly liberal Democrat field hands that do the bidding of their Democrat masters. Every two years, Democrats rent a cadre of black- and brown-face voters for an election telling them that their only hope is to vote for them, and they do it, even though most Hispanics and Blacks have more in common with Republican principles.

Colby King, a columnist for the Washington Post, said Republicans “always have African-Americans on the [convention] podium. Either it’s somebody singing ‘God Bless America,’ or praying, you know, before or after.” Let’s put this claim of the Pulitzer-Prize winning “journalist” to the test:

By the way, the Republicans had a white guy pray at the end of the convention, the same white guy who’s going to pray at the Democrat National Convention — Roman Catholic Cardinal Timothy Michael Dolan of New York who I hope will denounce the DNC’s platform for supporting abortion on demand and homosexual marriage, two issues that most brown- and black-faced people abhor.

No Voter-ID Means More Democrat Voters in November

A recent Washington Post poll showed that “74 percent of Americans favor government-issued photo ID mandates at polling places.” This meant little to CNN because the network, whose ratings are in the proverbial toilet, ignored those numbers “in six separate segments on voter ID laws.”

A majority of Americans believe that showing identification is simply common sense when identification is necessary to identify someone. When it comes to voting, liberals are incensed that anyone would have to prove who they are. If we were all saints, and a person’s word could be trusted, then showing an ID would be unnecessary. But that would be true for all types of calls for identification.

Elections are about money and power. Elected officials have control over our lives and property with laws they pass. Millions of people vote to empower people to take money from some people and give it to them. This makes them accomplices to theft. It’s little different from hiring someone to break into a neighbors house to steal money.

If a person is willing to vote for people to take money from other people, why do we think they will be honest about who they are? Who’s to say that they won’t vote more than once or scheme to use the names of dead people and pets to increase the vote for a candidate? Am I making this up? Voter registration forms were “mailed to hundreds of dead Virginians, children, non-citizens, pets, and others ineligible to vote.”

A judge in Pennsylvania had enough good sense to see through liberal outrage and upheld a law requiring that voters show identification. Judge Robert Simpson wrote, “Thus the photo ID requirement of Act 18 is a reasonable, nondiscriminatory, nonsevere burden when viewed in the broader context of the widespread use of photo ID in daily life.”

Are there political motives on each side of the issue? Of course there are. But that doesn’t change reality. Some people are liars and thieves in both parties.

The Justice Department’s civil rights division shot down a new photo ID requirement for voters in Texas because many Hispanic voters lack state-issued identification. A similar edict from the Justice Department was leveled against South Carolina.

When I saw the doctor to be treated for a sinus infection, I had to show my driver’s license and insurance card. On my way to work a few weeks ago, the police set up a road block to check insurance cards and driver’s licenses. I wonder if the Hispanics didn’t have to show any ID. (Of course, I’m not in favor of random ID checks. I only mention this to make a point.)

Every time I fly, I have to show my ID two times before I can board the plane. When I checked into the hotel, I was asked for my ID and a valid credit card. While in Las Vegas, I set up two business bank accounts. They wanted a whole lot of IDs. Last week I went to a different bank branch to cash a check, and the teller asked for my ID and wrote my license number on the check.

Here’s where liberals say you shouldn’t need an ID: In the voting booth where people choose candidates to make laws for all of us. Is it too much to ask that we want to know if they are who they say they are and haven’t voted in the place of someone else or have voted six times? I don’t think so.
