It is important to read this piece with the knowledge that President Obama, in his first 1,225 days in office, skipped 56 percent of his daily intelligence briefings. And so far, this year alone he has skipped 62 percent of those meetings. The media likes to adoringly point out the unprecedented aspects of this presidency, so I’m sure they will draw attention to this fact in no time.

Now that you know how neglectful Obama has been of these intelligence briefings, I can proceed.

We have been hearing repeatedly from this administration that, against all common sense, the cause of the violence in the Middle East that exploded on September 11 two weeks ago and killed four Americans was merely the manifestation of hurt feelings over a 14-minute anti-Islam video posted months and months ago on YouTube. Obama made the claim just three days ago during his taping of “The View” (part of his “busy schedule” that prevented him from meeting with Israel’s Netanyahu). He even repeated it the next day during his United Nations speech: “[I]n every culture, those who love freedom for themselves must ask how much they are willing to tolerate freedom for others. That is what we saw play out the last two weeks, as a crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world.”

Of course the reason for blaming the video has nothing to do with reality and everything to do with finding a scapegoat for Obama’s failed Middle East policy of apologizing for America and appeasing Islamists.

Now today, in an interview with NBC’s Ann Curry, Libyan President Mohamed Magarief has made a fool of President Obama: he stated that the attacks on the US embassy in Libya had “nothing to do with” the video and that it was a pre-planned act of terror. When pressed by Curry to detail his evidence for this, he said he could not because the investigation was still underway, but he assured Curry that so far, all the evidence discovered shows that it was an attack planned by al-Qaeda. He also gave the common-sense argument that the Obama administration has been hoping would be lost on Americans: because the video is relatively old, “Reaction should have been, if it was genuine, should have been six months earlier. So it was postponed until the 11th of September. They chose this date, 11th of September, to carry a certain message.”

This makes President Obama a fool. The next bit makes him a liar:

The Daily Beast, a left-wing website affiliated with Newsweek Magazine, reported yesterday that, according to three as-yet unnamed US intelligence officials, the Obama administration knew within 24 hours after the attack that the attack was the plot of al-Qaeda or an al-Qaeda affiliate. And yet the administration has been telling Americans and foreigners alike for the last two weeks that the attack was a spontaneous revolt against some obscure video on the Internet. The White House even went so far as to ask YouTube, a private company, to examine their terms of service to see if they can find justification in having the video removed. That is, Obama sought to silence free speech that he knew to be harmless and irrelevant. Why? Journalists? Reporters? Why?

TSA Agents Caught Smuggling Cocaine and Heroin at Atlanta Airport

If you’re a drug dealer, sex offender, a child molester or have some other criminal record, and you’re having trouble looking for work, look no further than the TSA. They employ all sorts of people with shady backgrounds and questionable characters, to say the least. Who else would be willing to grope little kids and grandmothers and look at images of people’s naked bodies on their X-ray scanners?

And it’s all in the name of keeping us safe from terrorists. I’m sure that’s what Richard Cook and Timothy Gregory were thinking when they got involved in a drug-smuggling business at the Atlanta airport. Cook had made a deal with some drug dealers back in January that for every kilo of heroin smuggled through security, he’d get paid $2,500. In February, Cook left the TSA and handed the reins of his drug business over to co-worker Gregory, who received $1,000 per kilo of cocaine smuggled. Little did either of them know, however, that their drug bosses were FBI agents working undercover, and the cocaine and heroin were both fake.

Just last Tuesday, both TSA agents were indicted on charges they conspired to smuggle drugs. We still don’t know how this relationship between the Feds and the TSA agents was initiated. I find it odd and a little bit humorous that the Feds chose to pick on some of their own. Usually, they work undercover with non-government employed drug dealers and eventually catch them in the act. They even work undercover with Muslims or white supremacists, assisting them in a terrorist attack by providing them with guns, explosives, money or anything else they need in order to execute the attack only to “thwart” it at the last minute and have those involved arrested for terrorism. So why would they want to “expose” the TSA?

Not that I have any problem with that. We hear stories all the time involving the TSA “sexually assaulting” passengers, injuring them, laughing at the naked images on the scanners, strip searching children, etc. It’s definitely not surprising that a couple of TSA officers tried to make some extra money on the side by getting illegal drugs through security.

This isn’t the first time the TSA has assisted in the smuggling of drugs. Earlier this year in April, the Hartford Courant reported:

“Three Transportation Security Administration officers, two police officers and more than a dozen drug dealers in Florida, New York and Connecticut are charged in the smuggling conspiracy that delivered illegal Oxycodone pills from Florida to the Waterbury [Conn.] area. …Authorities said that the TSA officers — two in Florida and one in New York — were paid to help drug couriers move pills and the stacks of cash they generated through airport screening systems.”

And last year in LA, TSA screeners were found to allow luggage they knew to be filled with methamphetamines, cocaine and marijuana to pass through their “security” checkpoints in exchange for cash. These cases in Connecticut and California weren’t assisted by undercover agents.

Maybe this is why they went undercover in Atlanta. Maybe they’re trying to “crack” down on the TSA’s underground drug business at the airports and weed out those that they suspect of having potential to engage in such behavior. Whatever the case, the fact that our government engages in these types of sting operations is still troubling. They engage in breaking the law themselves, hoping to get others to do the same so that those people get in trouble. Nothing happens to the undercover agents because they were just “doing their job.” This case reveals what we already knew to be true about the TSA — that they employ moral delinquents. It also reveals that our government can engage in criminal activity with impunity as long as they get others to engage in it with them.

Why Liberals are Scared to Death Right Now

Otto Scott (1918– 2006) is credited for coining the phrase “the silent majority,” that was later made popular by President Richard Nixon. Scott wrote a speech for the CEO of Ashland Oil, “The Silent Majority,” that was delivered to the Chicago Men’s Club May 23, 1968. Scott was a journalist and author of corporate histories who also wrote biographies on notable figures such as the abolitionist John Brown, James I of England, and Robespierre.

There has been a majority of people in America who are sound thinkers and live a relatively virtuous life. They’ve been incensed at what politicians, educators, social theories, bureaucrats, and entertainers have done to America. These activists were not silent, and they weren’t a majority, but they have been in charge.

These Wormwoods deserve credit for what they have been able to pull off right before our eyes.

We assumed that our majority status would be enough. It wasn’t. Many have given up. Others have dropped out of the process arguing that there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the Democrats and Republicans. Still others have bought into the belief that we are controlled by a cabal of secret conspiracists that control everything and everyone.

The Silent Majority is beginning to speak up and it feels good to them. Of course, hearing others with the same message speak up gives them confidence. Liberals have always feared a revolt of the masses. Liberals have always counted on conservative disenchantment that anything can ever be changed.

The Chick-fil-A Day of Appreciation scared the hell out of a lot of liberals. If you saw the open mouths of the judges who watched McKayla Maroney stick her nearly perfect vault in the women’s gymnastics competition at the Olympics, you get the idea. It was a look of shock and disbelief.

The Tea Party also scares liberals. That’s why they and establishment Republicans have been proclaiming the movement’s early demise. In the spirit of Mark Twain, “Reports of the Tea Party’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.”

Election victories in Wisconsin, Indiana, Texas, Kansas, and Missouri show that the Tea Party is alive and well. The election in Kansas has not received a lot of attention, but the results are staggering.

In Tuesday’s primary, Tea Party activists ousted seven GOP incumbent moderate state senators. “An eighth, Senate President Steve Morris, a moderate Hugoton Republican, trailed his conservative opponent, likely marking the end of Morris’ 20-year career as a legislator.” This is after the so-called moderates outspent their more conservative opponents 3 to 1. Even getting the backing of the teachers’ union couldn’t win it for the establishment Republicans.

There have been a few smaller victories that are encouraging as this article from LifeSite News shows:

The owner of a cake shop in Lakewood, Colorado said that, following a refusal to provide a wedding cake for a homosexual couple his business has more than doubled.

Jack Phillips, the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, told local media that this wasn’t the first time he had turned away homosexuals seeking wedding cakes, but it is the first time his stand for Christian principles has resulted in so much media attention and some death threats.

Phillips explained that since 1993 the family owned and operated business has refused about half-a-dozen requests for same-sex wedding cakes. However, on Sunday he said he was forced to call police because of several death threats over the latest refusal.

To Liberals, conservatives who stand up and speak up for what they believe is like the rising Sun on Dracula who wasn’t able to get back into the darkness of his coffin in time. It turns them to dust. Let’s have more of it.

‘Chick-Fil-A’ Didn’t Chicken Out and Neither Should We

“Guilty as charged,” was the statement recently made by Chick-Fil-A owner, Dan Cathy, when asked about his company’s support of traditional family values. Cathy’s stance has ruffled more than a few feathers and the cuddly cow has now been stamped as one bad egg. The Leftist brood is squawking the usual cries of hate, bigotry, and homophobia. A Bostonian mayor has now infamously stated that he won’t let the company nest anywhere near his city, so long as he reigns. One “gay rights” group has hatched a mass “kiss-in” idea at local restaurants, in an apparent gay PDA showdown.It seems gay pride activists shouting typical accusations of homophobia (“You’re just chicken!”) is supposed toreally show Cathy who rules the roost. (Note: Don’t mess with their pecking order.)

Like chickens with their heads cut off, the media is flapping about in an attempt to subdue and bully the only company willing to stick its neck out for faith and family values. Yes, walking on eggshells is the name of the game these days, what with Oreo creating the ever diverse rainbow cookie, it seems even food should be tolerant and diverse in social issues.

Unfortunately for liberals it looks as though Cathy won’t be chickening out anytime soon, further stating:

“We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.”

Rather than taking Cathy’s statement viewed as a personal set of values with overtones of gratitude, leftists are outraged, crying “Fowl!” It is possible that much to the chagrin those who support “diversity and tolerance” (wink) one projection is that sales will shoot through the hen-house with all of the publicity and free marketing. Funny, Chick-Fil-A has had plenty of chicks to count even without a sunrise on Sundays.

And seriously, who doesn’t want a chicken sandwich, waffle fries and a down-home sweet tea after a good hen-pecking?!

What has flown the coop is any rational idea of freedom of speech and freedom to practice religion of one’s choosing. It takes a bird brain to go on a vicious and personal counter attack to one merely civilly expressing his freedom of belief. When it comes to diversity and tolerance, many on the left proudly display the egg on their face. Give them a solid, Bible believing person of faith, they set up the ring and strut around like a banty rooster, waiting for the cock-fight to ensue. (Sorry, PETA.)

For now, it seems it’s sunny side up for the “Eat more chicken” folks at Chick-Fil-A.

When it comes to standing up for faith, family, and values, that truly is something to crow about….
