HAVE YOU HEARD MARK LEVIN‘S HILARIOUS RUNNING COMMENTARY DURING REID’S CONVENTION SPEECH?

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) took the stage at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., on Tuesday to tell voters to back away from Rush Limbaugh, to blame Washington gridlock on Tea Party “extremists,” and to again imply Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is a tax cheat.
Funny thing, though: Sen. Reid said all this while conservative author Mark Levin was doing his radio show. So, Levin thought it would be fun to listen to the Nevada senator’s speech and comment on it in real-time.
The result? A seven-minute running commentary from Levin that overlaps the senator’s speech.
“Some … said [Obama] couldn’t take on the big banks that brought out economy to its knees,” Sen. Reid said.  “But President Obama made the tough and right call –”
“Oh, yeah,” Levin interjected, “right there at Bank of America Pavilion – or whatever they call it.”
“So that Americans will never be on the hook again for Wall Street’s risky bets,” the senator continued.
“Who is he talking about?” Levin asked. “[Obama] supported TARP [Troubled Asset Relief Program].”
“Some said he couldn’t take on the insurance companies that were ripping us off –”
“So just nationalize them,” Levin said. He had plenty more.
“We must stop the Tea Party before the United States Senate falls into the hands of extremists and ideologues,” Sen. Reid said, much to Levin’s amusement, “who leave no room for reason or compromise, who don’t recognize common ground even when they’re standing on it.”
“You mean like [Democrat Sen. Chuck] Schumer?” Levin shot back.
“Mitt Romney says that we should take his word that he paid his fair share,” Sen. Reid continued. “His word? His word? Trust comes from transparency and Mitt Romney comes up short on both.”
“What did you Democrats do? Go to St. Elizabeth’s mental institution and find your majority leader? Here he is. You make fun of Clint Eastwood, Clint Eastwood was terrific! This guy’s rambling on about tax returns again!” Levin said.
Although there are a few points where an exasperated Levin claims he can’t take it anymore, the conservative radio host manages to make through most of the senator’s speech and — if nothing else — it’s an amusing listen:
